Familiarity

They're back.  I happened to catch the same group of pretty Cedar Waxwing birds light and feast upon a berry tree close to our front door.  Just a passing recurrence, but I just love when I get to experience a seasonal event.  Which seems to happen once a year for the Cedar Waxwing at our house!  Aren't they a handsome feathered friend?

Fish Fry

Fish Fry, our little guy who's one, is considered the social butterfly and comic relief of the family.  He has taken nicely to being "the baby"; at this point, he hardly has a choice!  This boy is still squooshy and we cannot, I repeat CANNOT, get enough squishy-squashy squooshes from the lovable squooshy thing.  Can you say "the baby"?  We just can't stop squeezing the poor boy; he's just too squishy!  Did I mention that Fish Fry is really squeezable?

Princess

Princess is our four year old little girl who cannot escape her nickname.  We call her by all kinds of affectionate terms: Sugar Booger (one of my favorites), Pickle, MissyMoo, MissMiss, etc.  She actually prefers to be called by her nickname of the day like Pony Carrot,  Mr.Yo-Yo Pop, Ballerina Monkey.  But despite the switcheroo name game, she IS the Princess in this story!  And always will be!

Rock Steady

Our five year old son is an all-around rock steady fella!  He is an amazing builder with any block he can get his hands on!  No matter what toys he has available he always ends up building something.  In fact,even his questions are well designed construction.  Just today he asked a series of questions that were in a logical sequence of order (he would ask a question and before I could hardly finish answering his question, he would ask the next question):

How do you make wood?

We get wood from trees and God made the trees

How does God make trees?

He made the seed that is nourished by the soil, water, and sun that grow helps grow the seed into a tree.

How did God make the sun?

Well, I was not there when He made the sun, but I am sure it was easy for Him because He is so big.

How do we know God made the sun if God made it before people were on earth?

Um, well, He probably told Adam and Moses and other people who wrote the Bible and He probably told them what happened before He created Man.

How did God make Himself?

Uhhh, umm, well, ummm, ya see, God is the Beginning, the Middle, and the End.  He is forever.  He didn't have to make Himself because He has always been, always is, and always will be.  If He wasn't like that, then He wouldn't be God.
